So I'm sure if you are reading this you know me and my little family already but I thought I'd give everyone a little background in case you've stumbled upon this and you don't know us!
I'm originally from central IL from a small little town of 500 people. I went to college at Illinois Wesleyan University and graduated with a degree in accounting. While there I was a competitive cheerleader. I met my husband my senior year while visiting the hometown of a fellow cheerleader. He was from a slightly larger small town (to the tune of 800 more people...). I hate to say it but it was love at first meeting. I just had this feeling that if anything came of this meeting it was either going to be nothing at all or marriage. Apparently he felt the same way and asked friend and fellow cheerleader about me a few weeks later. Meanwhile, I'm in Vegas celebrating my spring break after being in Virginia for the NCAA division III final four tournament. I literally get home from Vegas and go straight to friend's house to meet up with future husband.

| Luke and I - April of 2006 |
We dated for 2.5 years before getting married (on 10-25-08) and in that time I moved to his slightly larger small town and we bought our first home together. It's a 1960s brick ranch fixer upper. There are certainly nice things about it, but definitely room for improvement as well.

Luke and I had our first daughter in May of 2011. Her name is Evelyn Alice and she was so worth all the difficulty I had with my pregnancy. We cannot imagine our lives without her and are "those" parents who never get a babysitter. I think the grandparents are dying for another little B bambino so they might actually have a chance watching Evelyn.

| Evelyn's First Day Home - May 2011 |
I'm a full time working mom, and as much as I'd love to stay home with E I love being able to provide for our family. I work as an internal auditor at a local hospital and Luke is an automotive mechanic at a Chevy dealership. We love to DIY around the house. I seriously am so lucky with how handy my husband is. We also love to travel and have a long bucket list of must see places. I love to read and craft while the husby loves the Bulls and any history channel show. We both love our Chicago Bears. I hope you'll follow along with us through this journey of growing our family.
